The staffmembers of Grove Construction form a skilled workforce from many different backgrounds, but Grove is at its heart a family company.
Tony’s passion for construction started young. He spent his boyhood summers working alongside his father, Bob Grove.
Once he graduated from University of Central Missouri with a B.S. in Construction Industrial Management Technology, Tony partnered with his father and started Grove Construction in 2009. Tony is a construction manager to the core, always making sure each detail has been covered and completed. Tony has used forward thinking, technology paired with industry best practices to guide Grove Construction into thriving commercial construction company.
Clay Minchew, Vice President of Construction
Clay has been with the Grove team since spring of 2012 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering from Missouri Western University. Clay has been the project manager for several notable projects including the Walsworth Family Golf Clubhouse, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity House, Starbucks Infills on the University of Missouri Campus, Boone Medical Plaza building 3 corridor renovation, Menards Warehouse expansion, Century 21 professional office building, and Schilb Antiquarian. Clay’s current role is Vice President of Construction where he overseas daily construction progress as well as coordinates design build projects. Clay enjoys golfing with his wife Kelsey and you can often find him enjoying a beer at Log Boat in the afternoon.
Ryan Mudd, Project Manager
Ryan Mudd joined Grove Construction in 2017 as an Assistant Project Manager with more than 10 years of construction experience. Promoted to Project Manager in 2018, Ryan has been involved in projects utilizing multiple types of construction materials and methods including applications for commercial, industrial, municipal, residential, and medical buildings. He enjoys spending time on the family farm with his wife Julia and daughter Eleanor.
Trevor Barnes, Assistant Project Manager
Trevor Barnes joined Grove Construction as an Assistant Project Manager in 2018. His previous positions include Weld Foreman at VC Summers nuclear facility and 13 years as a union sheet metal worker. Trevor enjoys staying active in sports and spending time with his dogs Hans and Chewy.
Erin Flandermeyer, Comptroller / Office Manager
Erin is the Comptroller and Office Manager for Grove Construction. During her time at Grove, Erin has streamlined the client billing process to better fit the client’s needs. Erin holds a master’s degree in business from Columbia College and holds a B.S. in Accounting and Management. In her spare time, she likes to crochet, cook and spend time with family.
Cristina Saylor, Operations Manager
Cristina has more than 14 years of overall experience in the engineering / architecture / construction industry. Starting in marketing for a transportation design firm and later with HDR Constructors, she moved onto a project team while at Black and Veatch. Since then, she has greatly expanded her knowledge and expertise. She currently serves as Operations Manager for Grove Construction. Her responsibilities include pre-construction, bidding, contracts, subcontract management, and closeout.
Melinda Westhoelter, Administrative Assistant
Melinda joined Grove Construction in 2018 and brought over 30 years of experience in providing Administrative / Clerical / Office Support. She is currently expanding her knowledge of her construction business. Melinda is our friendly voice on the line when you call our office.
