Our Commitment to Safety
At the end of the day, we want everyone to return to their families safe and sound. Grove Construction is committed to providing our employees with a safe and healthy workplace. No activity conducted by our employees or subcontractors is so important that we cannot perform the task in a safe and healthful manner.
Safety Expectations
Outlined & Communicated
Emphasizing individual commitment to safety, expectations of responsibility, and implementation of the Grove Construction’s Safety Plan, the management team communicates their belief that safety is not about rules and regulations but an individual’s attitude and commitment. The project team routinely enlists the help of subcontractors as well as employees to report safety concerns, offer suggestions and best practices. Regular toolbox talks and safety training keeps safety at the forefront of our project approach.
Community Forward Safety
As active citizens of Central Missouri, Grove Construction understand it isn’t just our employees and subcontractor’s safety we need to steward during a project. We need to make sure our projects have zero negative impacts on the community.
As part of our Health and Safety protocols, we instruct our project teams to keep the job sites clean and neat at all times. This not only reduces the risk of trips, slips, and falls, it also keeps trash and debris out of the area and stops negative environmental problems before they start.
In addition to clean and safe work environment, in 2016 Grove Construction installed devices on company vehicles and monitors for unsafe and dangerous driving behaviors. A report compiled weekly and relevant findings are addressed with personnel.
